That's true for a collegial, low-key project like Lucy.

For projects with perpetually high levels of drama -- Hadoop, the Incubator,
OpenOffice, etc. -- the Chair position is more involved. And the Chair job
for other projects can suddenly become a lot of responsibility if there's a
community fork, personnel conflagration, legal issue, etc. I don't
imagine anything big coming Lucy's way in the near or medium term, though.

Chairs are also expected to subscribe to board@apache (private for ASF Members
and officers such as PMC Chairs) and infrastructure@apache. That's a fair
amount of mail, but some of it can be devnulled automatically and a lot of
the rest dispensed with quickly. I find those lists interesting so I'm
subscribed anyway, but I've taken a deeper interest in the foundation than
most.
