Personally, I do not take this proposal lightly. I have been supporting the Apache MADlib project through it's Apache incubation and graduation in July 19, 2017. Since then, the Dev community has provided robust in-database analytic features for PostgreSQL and Greenplum Database. However, at this point in time and to the best of my knowledge, the Apache MADlib Dev community has a single active committer. Several MADlib committers continue to provide release review and voting assistance. For all intents and purposes, the benefits of being part of Apache has run its course.
