Presumably, the testing wouldn't need to be quite as thorough as a unit test.
A concrete example of a regression along these lines is how the ModelDissector
seems to have started putting out different numbers when fed an SGD model. I
would have preferred that this had been found immediately by a test rather than
a user. I am fixing the problem and will try to put in a test, but the point
remains.
