You can use MatrixWritable. The idea was that these math classes, which were
imported from Colt, ought to be formally scrubbed and tested on an
individual basis. Until then they were deprecated. Some are still in that
state, and really ought to be un-deprecated soon. (There's a fine project...
some smoke tests for these classes and un-deprecated them.)
