Frank Scholten commented on MAHOUT-680:
---------------------------------------
I just tested Elmer's patch and seq2sparse with custom analyzer works, no
ClassNotFoundExceptions. The 'mahout hadoop' trick for viewing sequence files
also works. The problem only occurs when submitting the example job jar via
hadoop jar and having the core jar first on the CLASSPATH.
Added a new patch that contains Elmer's changes and made a change so only the
example job jar is added to the CLASSPATH.

> Added a patch which allows you to run the $HADOOP_HOME/bin/hadoop command
> script through the bin/mahout script.
> This way the Mahout script adds the Mahout classes to the $HADOOP_CLASSPATH
> so you can view sequencefiles generated by Mahout jobs with
> bin/mahout hadoop fs -text <sequencefile>
> without having to specify Mahout classes manually or getting
> ClassNotFoundExceptions
