"ready for prime-time" and "my cluster admin is willing to install it" are
two very different timeframes for most people.  For example, LinkedIn
only moved to Java 1.6 *2 years ago*, and Twitter's still on back-patched
Hadoop 0.20.3 in production (although we may soon have hdfs+append
branch-compatible).
