I thought it'll be a quick fix, but it seems that I might be missing some larger
context. Here's what I found so far. At some point there was a commit for
MAHOUT-991 (1304490) that was supposed to converted MeanShift to emit
ClusterWritable. Yet, if I run mahout with Hadoop in local mode under
debugger it seems that the record reader returns key/value pairs with
the value still being of type MeanShiftCanopy. I suppose that is understandable
since the initial step in:
   org.apache.mahout.clustering.conversion.meanshift.InputDriver
outputs MeanShiftCanopy and not anything else.

After that the MeanShiftCanopyMapper sees MeanShiftCanopy when its
map method is called and gets unhappy.

Now, given that I'm still pretty new to Mahout development, I'm not quite
sure what the proper fix here should be.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Roman.
