I looked quickly at the templates and this pattern is in a few places,
actually. It's a trivial patch but I'd say a unit test doing some random
blasting of intermixed operations against another implementation (be it Java
collections, HPPC, fastutil or whatever else) would be very sensible.
If nobody picks it up in the next few hours, I will.
