Did you try a simple: mahout> val rowlabelbindings = drmTFIDF.getRowLabelBindings mahout> rowlabelbindings.size
If the new HashMap constructor is not taking in all the entries from its parameter, try rowlabelbindings.clone instead? I know this doesn't answer why the new HashMap has only 1 entry.
