Hi Folks. I am a newbie, and would like to take my first steps contributing to the Apache Mahout project.
As part of getting started, I played around trying to do a quick setup of Spark and Mahout on my local machine. The steps outlined on the webpage here <http://mahout.apache.org/users/sparkbindings/play-with-shell.html> seem little outdated. It states use of Apache Spark 1.1.1 but looking at the latest POM file for Mahout, the spark dependency is on version 1.6.2. I believe the website could be updated to reflect this. What is the recommended series of steps for fixing this? Do I have to first create an issue in the issue tracker etc ? Any conventions etc followed by this community that I should be aware of ?
