Had a look at the patch.
You will need to remove the "ows_" prefix that appears on all metadata items,
in order to retain compatibility with the Dspsts service (and thus support
people when they upgrade SharePoint versions). This will eliminate the need to
special-case treatment of the last-modified-date field throughout.
As far as the return map for getFieldValues(), the key is the metadata field
name, and the value is the metadata value. No ability is in place to handle
multi-valued fields at this time, but I can add that readily should that become
desirable.
