Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-184:
----------------------------------------
The following link seems to indicate that only three types of auth are
supported with Active Directory:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverDS/thread/e7f59d01-cc65-4c51-8dfb-8cee5be3c2ea/
The types are:
- simple
- DIGEST-MD5
- GSSAPI
Unfortunately there is also mention of a cert being required for GSSAPI. It's
not clear at all how that works.
> Active Directory authority could use support for SSL, and
> checkboxes/pulldowns for selection of authentication modes

> The active directory authority's UI or implementation currently does not
> support SSL. Also, the selection of security protocol does not help the user
> at all by giving any hints of what's allowed and what isn't - it's just a
> simple text box.
