Andrew Janowczyk commented on CONNECTORS-723:
---------------------------------------------
I think you hit it right on the head. the connector won't see "Everything",
only the things which the user can see. The oauth approach with application
link could probably be a work around, but it seems to be a major headache at
the time being. I couldn't get the rest calls done correctly so that we can
save just the refresh token as opposed to having to manage links and whatnot.
the rest point you showed me basically tells you the security of something if
you can see it, but there are no other user management end points that i see.
so its hard to know the two major questions: "what is my security level?" and
"what can i access?" or more importantly, "what don't i have access to?"
because it is hidden from that user.
at the end of the day, if the client uses a user account, it'll load up
everything without a problem, so we can just recommend that and see if any of
the atlassian guys get motivated to refactor the auth stuff :)
