Converted code to use httpcomponents httpclient.
It occurs to me that we are also missing another key component of this
connector: namely, the ability index and reference comments. And, we really
should be using a SAX-like JSON parser, which is capable of
parsing-event-driven behavior, for when we have a very large JSON response.
Will look into that as time permits.
