FWIW, I think everything that remains can best be handled as new tickets and
incremental improvements to the connector. So I'm going to merge the branch
now. The only issue that really needs to be settled before the release is
whether or not we change the way the Jira URL is specified; if that isn't
addressed there will little chance to change it in the future.
