Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-703:
----------------------------------------
Hi Maciej,
It should now be possible to write a mapping connector in the CONNECTORS-703
branch and include it in the tree. I wonder if you'd like to try coding this?
I think we'd need a regexp mapper similar to the one in LivelinkAuthority. The
one outstanding issue is human interface: specifically, a generic mapper must
include as part of its configuration the input domain path and the output
domain path, and basically a human will need to type these in perfectly with no
assistance from the UI. It remains to be seen how much trouble this will cause.

> If we deal with many auth sources there will be for sure need to map provided
> username to user id specific for particular auth source. As I remember - in
> book there is a note that this is the auth connector responsibility, but it
> means that in different scenarios we need different connectors (for example:
> in one scenario provided username is e-mail, in other - just login. You
> cannot use same auth connector in both cases).
> we should be able to configure "username mapper" for auth connector which may
> be simple regexp mapper or custom class providing mapping interface with more
> complex logic.
