Hi folks, I've closed CONNECTORS-911, and opened CONNECTORS-918, which covers the remaining changes to the Solr connector that need to occur as the result of going to Solrj 4.7.
If I recall correctly, the reasons we created the modified classes that now need to be reviewed involved (a) multipart post (and the associated metadata that Tika needed), and (b) SolrCloud, which also needed to be modified to support multipart post. There was also an issue (which I can't find) having to do with proper encoding of variable names when using multipart post. It would be good to review whether SolrJ now supports this all properly without need for us to supply modified chunks of SolrJ. And if we still need to provide chunks of SolrJ, let's update it so we don't get deprecation warnings. Thanks, Karl
