This ticket is complete, in trunk.
It may be beneficial, however, to pull up the connector changes ONLY to the
dev_1x branch, since these changes fix a number of minor bugs as well as make
most connectors 2x faster. This will likely be done piecemeal, and will not be
marked resolved until complete.
