Would you like to create a branch, branches/CONNECTORS-1219, and commit your
changes, so that it is easier to review the code?
I will need to ask on the Lucene list whether or not Lucene's memory usage can
be constrained to a fixed limit without too much trouble. In the past this was
not easy.
