Maurizio Pillitu commented on CONNECTORS-1223:
----------------------------------------------
I like the separation of the 2 projects, as it clearly splits responsibilities:
- Alfresco Indexer provides an AlfrescoClient as a simple way to access
Alfresco data (you must know a bit about Alfresco arch. to deal with this code)
- Manifold Alfresco Connector uses AlfrescoClient to extract data from Alfresco
(you must know a bit about Manifold arch. to deal with this code)
You can open issues on https://github.com/maoo/alfresco-indexer/ and I'd be
more than happy to provide commit permissions if you want to closely contribute
to it.
Is there any specific issue on alfresco-indexer that you need to address?
Thanks for the feedback!
> Alfresco Repository connector check
> -----------------------------------
>
> Key: CONNECTORS-1223
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS-1223
> Project: ManifoldCF
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Alfresco webscript connector
> Affects Versions: ManifoldCF 2.1
> Reporter: Alessandro Benedetti
> Assignee: Alessandro Benedetti
> Priority: Minor
>
> I improved the check method for the Alfresco repository connector to be more
> verbose , explaining the different types of Erroneus scenario happened.
> When taking a look to the trunk I see we have a dependency with an external
> module : AlfrescoClient .
> That is actually hosted in a different source repository ( Mao github [~maoo]
> ) .
> Is there any reason it is not been contributed directly ?
> What can I do if I want to provide the change ?
> I see the 2 projects quite coupled, and having them on different repository
> can make the mantainance hard.
