I'm thinking that, for connectors like this, maybe it makes sense to create
some kind of generic "file resources" directory, which is pointed at by a
properties.xml entry, and which we include with a README in all of our
examples. That way it will be easy to work with and try out, and people who
have multi-machine clusters will also need to worry about only one read-only
directory on each cluster member.
That's the approach I plan to take.
