Thank you very much for creating a new branch for this connector, GridFS using 
an older version of java-mongo-driver is a blocker for me, I cannot use the new 
APIs, I  commented out the new API calls and continued development with the 
older API, I will change my implementation accordingly once we bump the GridFS 
dependency version.
