[~erlendfg], I fully understand your issue and
{{NonRepeatableRequestException}} is part of the {{POST}} nature, therefore I
proposed the {{Expect}} header. I am sure, I understood either you have tried
the header or not. You can pass a default {{RequstConfig}} to the
{{HttpClientBuilder}}. So the Solr server should use this feature by default.
Isn't that what you want to do?
