Also a small conference pack that would sell for a minimal cost that could include cd or dvd and a small booklet with a basic intro to OOo and with pointers to Jeans book and other OOo publications perhaps, could help defray costs.
I plan to produce a small booklet through the OOoAuthors project. We've got a lot of material but it would need to be reworked for this purpose. I can also arrange to have the booklet professionally printed so it looks good without being too expensive (per booklet) to produce.
The OOoAuthors project will also be producing printed copies (for sale) of the full user guides for the various components of OOo 2.0, as well as the PDFs that will be freely available on the OOo website.. Those user guides would be the main books to have pointers to, especially since my O'Reilly book and the other commercially available books are all for OOo 1.X -- until and unless the publishers decide to bring out new editions.
As Jean noted we need to source posters of a decent size and production value as well as flyers.
Here's where we really need to know what the "official" graphics for OOo2.0 are going to be, and have high-quality images available for use in various publications. And we need to know this information *NOW* -- well in advance of the release date -- not at the last minute. Otherwise, anything I do will be based on either old graphics or Nicu's cool images or someone else's ideas, which may have not much to do with anything "official".
It looks like a Banner/Signage is provided as part of the booth cost, but our own banner would be a good addition.
At the Desktop Summit we had a sign provided, but it was minimalist -- just the name, with no logo, and not a very large sign. (You can see it in some of the photos I took.) It would be useful to know *exactly* what signage is provided as part of the booth cost for the NEA conference.
