I can give you our story..  Microsoft said that if we didn't pay them
approximately $15,000 they were going to audit us which may have cost
us significantly more.  We made a verbal deal with them that if we
went with the school agreement we wouldn't have to worry about paying
the money.  We went with the school agreement and then they turned
around and said we still owed them $15,000.  We ended up paying it to
get them off our backs.  They were underhanded bastards.
