sorry, I missed, that you are talking about 'klub', not about
'prejdete' site. I hope that the following text explains everything:
- as a new user, you are starting at www.openoffice.cz and then,
you're going to visit prejdete.openoffice.cz where all links
are mentioned on the front page (I sent you screenshot with
czech->URL transformation)
- as an "old" user, you know all important links and we are not
going to bother these users with same links again and again
All important links are in the Links (*) section too.
(*) http://klub.openoffice.cz/odkazy
Important thing is, that all *.openoffice.cz sites are creating one
common information portal. We do not want to bother users on 'klub'
with info how OO.o is good and we do not want to bother users on
'prejdete' how to write macro for auto adding of non-breakable
space.
We have 'guidepost' (http://www.openoffice.cz/) where users can
select where to go. Read about OO.o, download OO.o, ... -> prejdete.
Learn how to use OO.o, how to create macros, download interesting
examples, screenshots, ... -> klub.
Typical way is ...
- new user - 1. www.openoffice.cz - guidepost
2. prejdete.openoffice.cz - learn about OO.o
3. klub.openoffice.cz - OO.o user now
- old user - 1. klub.openoffice.cz - is OO.o user and knows
'everything' about OO.o,
why to bother him again
I know how important are links to proper places, but I also know,
how boring these links are for common users. Everything should be
balanced and I hope, that our work is balanced in this way.
Have a nice weekend!
