Its rather surprising that OEM retailers will pay $10 for MS Works when
they could use OOo for free and its not only a lot better, its actaully
more compatible with other MS products! 2.0 could be the tipping pint
here though.

I know about it, just never really had time to join it.

More the better. I'm sure there must be places with more success than
here in the UK. Certainly I wok in the PC distribution channel and I
have never seen anyone building PCs and advertising OOo installed here.
I did see Star Office in a supermarket on some computers but that was
about it. Again I think 2.0 might make a difference es[ecially if added
to ODF publicity. As usual time is the big limiting factor. If I can get
my business plan progressed I'll create more time to follow these things
up with a better strategy.
