Greetings, This is just a heads up. It probably won't affect OOo folks much, but you should be aware:
I thought y'all should know that I am planning to post a press release Monday or Tuesday, on behalf of a faith-based initiative, condemning Microsoft's behavior in Massachusetts. I, along with other clergy (and others who share our faith), believe that by refusing to support OpenDocument, Microsoft is railroading the visually-impaired into using a proprietary document format that prevents interoperability. IOW, the visually-impaired will be the only ones who cannot share documents across office suites and OS platforms if Msft doesn't support ODF. The press release attacks Microsoft on their key strength. Note: I could potentially delay the press release a day or two if other clergy/laity are interested in supporting it. If anyone is interested in this, please let me know.
