The spanish community came up with this idea to spread the use of OpenOffice.org and that is similar to some websites that have an icon
saying that the site was created with X product.

We have some "built with", "compatible with", "created with" buttons here:

This idea is to make a Watermark that will label the document as 'crated by OpenOffice.org'. I generally agree with the idea and the
 process is rather simple.

I have done this for a while, as part of the colophon or footnote. For
example:

Footnotes
http://www.computerangels.org.au/resources/posterA4_computer.pdf
http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/29110/sfd_bookplate.sxd
Unfortunately, associated .pdf for this is 688K (issue 53866):(

Colophon
http://www.computerangels.org.au/resources/brochure_training.pdf
http://www.computerangels.org.au/resources/brochure_computer.pdf

Generate a default template on with the iconset on watermark. The promotion of this template as a campaing to spread OOo.

I used to do this, but found that people perceived OpenOffice.org to be
a demonstration or cut-down version of something that I needed to pay
money for :) So probably need to choose carefully which documents to
send to different people.
