Yes, I guess it is, but I didn't realize I had to obey Cor. Especially
since I made the statements he was complaining about *before* he said that.

OpenOffice.org is a lot more than a website. It's more than a program.
It's more than a community. It's all these things, plus the mailing lists,
the IRC chat room, the sister-sites and satellite projects (like OOoAuthors,
OOoExtras, Friends of OpenOffice.org, etc.).

A person should be able to go to any one of these sources (at least the ones
that are maintained on a regular basis) and be able to find out about OOo
2.0. I mean, we've been talking about this thing for like 2 years. It
should be the most hyped thing we've done since 1.0. But all the traffic on
this - the marketing list of OOo - has been about ODF. So much so that the
head of the Marketing Project, Jacqueline McNally, came on and reminded us
that we are to promote OOo not ODF.

My question was a simple one - other than ODF, "what's new with OOo 2.0?".
I've received a few answers from that, and I'm grateful for them. If there
was anywhere in the world for that question to be asked - it was the
Marketing List of OpenOffice.org - the fact that I am *STILL* 9 days later,
getting hammered for asking the question is rediculus. In fact, *I* didn't
ask the question - Jacqueline did, I just parroted it. And somehow, once
again, this has turned into an attack against me.

here's a quote from Jacqueline's original post that started this thread.

With the increasing number of products that are supporting OpenDocument,

And because I asked the question as well, I'm being looked down upon, my
loyalities and intelligence are being questioned, and I'm being bossed
around.

Why hasn't anyone questioned Jacqueline's loyalities or ability to look at
the homepage? I mean, it was *her* question, not mine.

I hope no one truly does attack Jacqueline. My point is, it's wrong for
her, or me, or anyone to be attacked like for asking a simple, honest
question.
