This issue has been discussed at length on the lists and I for one
believe that getting OOo onto handhelds would be the start of a killer
app. With Philips new roll up screens it will not be very long before
there will be devices that fit in your pocket but can have a screen
large enough for full desktop use. Since the handheld market has no real
tradition of MS Office as the defacto standard and is price sensitive
consumer electronics, there is little room for large software license
fees. Bear in mind that mobile phones are outselling desktop computers
at least 3:1. On that basis the potential for OOo on ARM is bigger than
it is on i586.
