I think I have to start over...
Hi there.
How can I help?
Steven
You've already started with suggesting the reorganization of the
files! We really need that... One thing I've discussed with
Jacqueline, and which is pretty important to me, is getting OOo used
in the NGO/nonprofit sector. So, I'd like to propose a drive and
need help: To get OOo used by charities, NGOs, nonprofits, etc.
What it will require is identifying particular markets or groups,
contacting a few we've chosen, and following up.... What we'll have
to show is how OOo satisfies their needs and then some; answer
questions they may have about liability, use, support, etc., as well
as the fact that OOo is a project, too, and thus something that they
can be part of.
Hm. Then there is the other fundamental item...
A crucial element of OOo is just that: that we are an open project.
Yet marketing often seems to privilege the product element. What I'd
like to do is discuss how we can best represent our production side,
the project face, the work environment. Ideas?
Cheers
Louis
