I just had an interesting exchange with someone who I assume saw
the "Flash" on the OOo home page about OOo for Mac-Intel and asked

responded that we have such a version of OOo already, and pointed
the questioner to the Mac downloads page.
He wrote back offlist to thank me and said "I must not have looked
closely enough at the website", to which I responded "I'm not
surprised you couldn't find it. That page is extremely well hidden."
Indeed, the fact that OOo runs on the Mac is nowhere mentioned on
the home page, nor is it mentioned on the page that the
"multiplatform" link takes you to. Why is this? It seems like a
serious oversight to me.
I think the history of the oversight is fairly boring and long, but
yes, it's an oversight. I'll correct it asap. If I don't, I'm sure
John will.... Thanks for spotting it. Overall, the mac pages are in
sore need of redemption. If anyone wants to help, I'm sure that
Erich Bachard, Eric Hoch and others would welcome assistance!
thanks
Louis
