I think that wat Sophie meant, but didn't say, was that she wanted you
to cut out most of the email you were responding to, and only include
the few lines that are most relevant to your response. The smallest unit
that still provides enough context to understand your reply. Something
like what I'm doing here. I think it's because some people get annoyed
by having to scroll a lot. Of course, I'm not Sophie, so I might have
guessed wrong. Personally I'm not bothered by different quoting styles.
