Dear Sirs,

We're a small spanish publishing company, Edit Lin, specialized in books
for linux and free software, you can review our offering in
www.librosdelinux.com.

We're at this time beginning a new project for a city council, this will
include documentation regarding OpenOffice Writer, OpenOffice Calc,
OpenOffice Base, OpenOffice Draw and OpenOffice Impress. We would like
to know about how to get your permission to use your logos in our
printed material and any special requirement you have for this. Even if
you need it we can send you final art before going to press for review.

Most of the OpenOffice.org artwork is licensed under a free license (normally PDL or LGPL) as you can find in the art projects galleries (from http://marketing.openoffice.org/art) or in the documents and files area Alexandro pointed you at.

But the logo is licensed under a proprietary license we've just updated and wait for official approval by Sun. You may have a look at it in the OpenOffice.org wiki:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoArt--OOo_logo_license

As you can read there, the official way to be allowed to use the logo is to send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask there.

many thanks

I hope I was able to help ;-)

Best regards

Bernhard
