Thinking about the last post about Internet advertising and Google, saying
that Google is the ONLY channel of internet advertising is like saying
that banner is the only way to promote a product on the internet.
Obviously is completely wrong, I will like to list some forms of internet
advertising that I am not sure if we had address before and would like to
give it consideration for a push on this topic.
- VideoCast
- Podcasts
- Magazine Blogs
eWeek, PC Magazine, and many other mainstream magazine can give a great
push toward the advertising of OpenOffice.org, from articles label as '10
reasons why you should run OOo' or the classic 'OOo vs MSO'. Magazine
blogs are articles under an accelerated cycle. However the key here is
that they want public feedback. Podcasts/Vidcast are the same thing, they
are eager to hear their listeners desires.
So here are some examples of new media advertising for some of this
projects. What we want is simple, just independitely ask for the support
of OOo on their show. Meaning drop an article or a segment and review OOo
in depth. Here are some of this lists:
