Singapore Armed Forces has adopt openoffice is the software to use for word
processing, data compliation etc. Previously, Microsoft office was the standard
but it was changed . From a publication, it is said to save singapore goverment
10 or 100 million dollars on this purchase alone.
Not sure for other goverment bodies, but most probably they will follow suit
and soon, the trend will push down to the private sector follow by the
Singapore normal home users.
Hope this would help to further promote Open Officer is THE Standard
application to be used worldwide.
