I haven't seen any discussion on that kind of artwork in the
archives of [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED], so I assume that they
have been part of the program presented by Sun.
In my eyes this task is a genuine topic for the community -
especially the art project. If we are able to create a visual
identity *before* the release, it could be included in the
development of OpenOffice.org.
I'd like our community to create such artwork for OpenOffice.org 3,
and I'm quite sure (even if I didn't ask the Community Council
before), that *we* are the ones to decide on the visual identity of
OpenOffice.org. Therefore I started some threads on [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(not only on document icons, but on all necessary artwork for
OpenOffice.org 3):
