We've had discussions like this before, of course. FWIW, I already responded to the journalist but did not cc this list. In general, the idea is for "official representatives" of OOo to respond to "official inquiries," and that means in cases like this the leads of the MP and designees, including me and as needed the relevant MarCons. What's important is to have informed people respond and to keep on message. Having the same person or persons respond on a regular basis, as John and I do to English-language inquiries, helps us and journalists, as they like consistency.
For this reason, on our PRs, we do not list the happy crowd composing the MP list (anyone can subscribe and post here) but rather just John, Cristian, and me, plus, for worldwide contacts, the MarCons.
