That's how it seems. However, if it is the company I'm thinking of, the process of ordering the CD actually takes you through a series of pages in which you sign up to receive a different CD every month. You also need to give them your credit card details. The information about what you're actually signing up for is buried in the "fine print". We've had a discussion about them in several lists.
