Thanks for the Q's. I was looking for some for the FAQ page :) http://opendocumentfellowship.org/odfviewer/faq It is stand-alone. It uses XUL and the Mozilla Application Framework, but the package includes a copy of xulrunner and all the dependencies. You don't need to install anything else. Incidentally, the download for Linux is a tad oversized because it's a beta. The 1.0 release will be 7.8MB instead of 9.3MB, and in the future (longer term) we hope to trim down xulrunner a bit to make the download more reasonable. The viewer supports x86-Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. I hope to support x86-64 Linux for the final release, but I don't know... I'm trying to tack down a bug with 64-bit libraries.
