Hello!

BTW, this is a public list...

Hello,

Thx Louis for this useful information.

We are a student association at Stockholm university and one of our goals is to promote open source among students.

Great!

In this respect, we made a simple OO thesis template, a video tutorial on how to use it and we give once in a while a crash course on how to customize the thesis template (see links below).

That's pretty good. Have you considered giving the template to our Docs project? It houses templates, among other things, in all languages--or at least links to those other languages. See http:// documentation.openoffice.org/ .

Regarding the Free Software Day and a presentation on OO, we can offer a promotion channel to reach students at Stockholm university. In particular:

1) advertising space to promote the Free Software day and OO lecture on our announcement board (right in front of main SU library) 2) access to a well equipped lecture room at SU for a presentation/ lecture on a OO topic that is of interest to students from SU 3) participation in the ProFun games (with soccer) to promote "OO Sweden"/Free Software day among sport loving students (e.g. team OO Sweden wearing t-shirts with the logo of OO Sweden or the Free software day >>> participants should be students from either KTH or SU because the university pays for the hours at the sports facility)

(possibly, depending on the deadline) 4) announcement of the event in Gaudeamus (the official student magazine delivered to the homes of people)

The proposals above are the things that we can offer at any rate. If you have other ideas how we can help, dont hesitate to come forward.

Well, we don't spend money on advertising. We do accept contributions from the community to further the community's goals--and that could mean your goals, too. I mean: if you want to donate the space and time and energy, super: we will all benefit. Or did I misinterpret your message?

Well, getting back to promoting the use and development of OOo among university students, I'm quite interested. Use is easily accomplished, or at least making OOo in SV available, is. Development is more complicated, and requires commitment and real interest. But it's a lot more rewarding. I'd be happy to discuss with your team either angle. We want to bring in students from around the world to help develop OOo--including extensions, templates, core code.

Kind regards,
