I can see several advantages here regardless of the outcome.  One would
be a re-examination of the role of Ecma, and for that matter
fast-tracking, in the process of building world standards.  The other
would be to point out that every dime that goes to MS is, in effect,
condoning such unethical business methods.  It's not like this is the
first time MS has persisted with questionable practices even after
continued scrutiny.
