The trends were definitely interesting, thanks for sharing that link! I was very happy to see that in some countries, searches for OpenOffice matched or even outnumbered searches for Microsoft Office. I think this is how we are going to win it--one country, one niche, one market at a time. When critical mass hits, we might even be surprised at the particular time it comes.

One of the reasons I feel confident in the "100 million users" number is because of all the Linux users who get it from repositories, as you wrote. Add that to the downloads from openoffice.org and all the other sites, the CDs distributed, and the peer-to-peer, and I would not be surprised if our user base is higher than 100 million!

Re the 100 million: perhaps you should also add the customized linux
distros which include OOo; Debian, Ubuntu, Suse/Novell, etc.
