Hey all,
A quick idea for something we should build ASAP: a download counter
widget that can be widely distributed across the web. The first place
it should appear is the homepage at www.openoffice.org!
I've found recently that people are very impressed with our download
numbers, though nobody knows to go to stats.openoffice.org to look
them up...
Firefox has done this, and they make use of it in several places:

Does anyone know enough Flash to get started on this? Or a Flash
developer who could donate an hour?
