Wishing everyone a successful 2008 - "the year of 3"!
There doesn't seem to have been much discussion about 3.0 on the
marketing list. What are the key new attributes of 3.0 that will
accelerate market share?
It's worth adding this to your bookmarks:

There has been discussion on the releases mailing list about how we get
better at translating the raw data from the developers' documentation
into user-friendly new features:

When we made the move to more frequent releases, we knew it would have
implications for marketing - more frequent releases = less features per
release. However, we're in a mature market, where features are unlikely
to convince MS-Office users to migrate overnight in vast numbers.
What is going to drive market share is getting in at the trigger points
for users - such as the 350,000 people who will have been delighted to
find OOo bundled on their new Asus eee PCs for Christmas.
