So no talks?

ah, now as you speak... I remember Jacqueline mentioned that we will have a whole slot dedicated to OOo. Sorry for not mentioning it at first place, I just remembered it.

I don't know any details yet. Maybe you drop her a message (she's not subscribed to this list) and ask her.

I am subscribed... :-)

We are planning a booth at LinuxTag and a full-day-session only with OOo-related lectures. It's not clear by now, if the speakers should submit their proposals through the vCC (http://www.linuxtag.org/2008/en/conf/cfp/cfp-target.html) or if we can organize the lectures directly. Call for papers already closes this week.

If you or someone else from Sun or the international community wants to lecture on LinuxTag I would be really happy. Please send me a mail, if you need further details.

Clayton visited Linux Tag last year and suggested to do something
more this year. Sorry for being so late. If lectures/talks can be
organized by you we may try to squeeze in a doc related topic if
you agree. When will that lexture day be?
I try to get the lecture day for Friday, 30.5.08, but it seems, that we can fill two days. Atm all proposed lectures will be held in german, but I will ask, if english is possible, too.

I expect an audience, which is generelly interested in OOo, without much knowledge about project internas. So the talk should be not too detailed. May be an overview about the many possibilities to get information about OOo: Wiki, Documentation Portal, Online-Help, Literature - for endusers and for developers?

Please submit a paper (short abstract is enough): https://www.linuxtag.org/vcc/ and send me a mail with title, abstract and paper number. Thanks!

Frank

Regards,

Jacqueline
