Hello Kay,

thank you very much for summing it up, and sorry that I wasn't able to join the confcall.

No plans for a bundling yet, it requires (deeper discussing)
There are too many pro and cons. It help unexperienced users only, experienced might hate this

I agree to this one. We generally tend to not include third-party software (although I agree there's a deep link not only due to the fact that Sun developers work on Lightning, too).

Kay: We have identify the best locations on OO.o for a promotion
* Product Page

Definitely.

* Download Page (Needs to be discussed but the importance had decreased due to automatic download)

Generally, same as for bundling, we normally don't do it. But in this case we might think about it. As said, also Sun developers are involved in Lightning, so maybe we can add a link to the DL page which leads to an informational page at Mozilla. Sounds good to me.

Rafael suggested to add a pointer to the 'Thanks for downloading page'

Sounds good.

Rafael could add OO.o promotion on the Thunderbird page.

Sounds good, too, of course. :-)

Rafael are they plans to be present on trade shows and conferences?
Kay: Yes, but it depends of the local marketing projects

I manage booths for OpenOffice.org in Germany, and at CeBIT (March, Hannover) and Systems (October, Munich) we often have third parties co-exhibiting with us. There might be a possibility to co-exhibit with us a Systems. If Rafael is interested, just drop me a message. Would love to see Mozilla working with us in presenting at trade shows!

Florian
