Hi Sophie,

great news and good to know that you have already address the coffee question ;-)

We still have T-Shirts that we have used last year. But i would like to have a OO.org 3 branded one if possible. The question is the design and i hope that somebody has really good idea. If we want a new designed cool T-Shirt we should address this soon to have enough time for production. Price should be ~3 Euro/T-Shirt or something like that and if remember it correctly. Depending on the number of colors and number of shirts. I will try to check it tomorrow.

What else could be interesting for the booth?

Some volunteer who can help us with a demo machine? Do we want a demo machine?

I would suggest to collect all infos on the following Wiki page

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Confereces/FOSDEM/2009

The structure can be used for other events in a similar way and with the correct categories we can easy use dynamic page lists to collect all this stuff on the related parent pages ... Any comments???

For example:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Confereces/FOSDEM/2010
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Confereces/Fisl/2009
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Confereces/FOSSin/2009

Hi Juergen, all,

I answered but on com@ instead of dev@ so here is the message I sent

Hi all,

We now have secured 2 tables for Fosdem. We now need volunteers :-)

Count me in, I know how to develop some good coffee respecting standard
formats ;) and I'll take care to bring the coffee machine + coffee,
cups, sugar, water, spoon, etc.
I can also retrieve the merchandising stuff where you'll ship it and
bring it to the booth.

Kind regards
Sophie

Hi,

Louis has requested a DevRoom at FOSDEM 2009 (7-8 Feb. 2009,
http://www.fosdem.org/2009/) and we should move now in the detail
organization because the room is accepted.

First collection of open todos

- volunteers??
- budget (traveling, merchandising, etc.) -> council
-- based on the ideas that we have or that produce in the next days ;-)
- program for the DevRoom -> call for papers/workshop etc., maybe a
lightning talk session
- booth? I would say yes.
-- some merchandising stuff, i would suggest a nice OO.org 3.0 T-Shirts,
a CD/DVD with OO.org 3.x??, we need ideas for some other cool things.
All this stuff should we give for free but we will ask for donations.
That worked quite well last year, we got 650 Euro in 1,5 days. Or we
take a small fee.
-- we should also have something that we can put in the conference bags
-- deadline for design -> depends on last production date
-- coffee machine -> create a meeting point at the booth (maybe the
booth will be again in front of the DevRoom as last year)
-- demo workplace

- design for a cool T-Shirt -> deadline mid of December to have enough
time for the production (i will check a vendor and cost -> (will come
back later)

More ideas, comments??
