Hi Alexandro,

most of the information on GHOP is at their website:
http://code.google.com/opensource/ghop/2007-8/

You can find a very complete FAQ here:
http://code.google.com/opensource/ghop/2007-8/faqs.html

basically, anything that helps OOo in getting contributors is very welcome, so is Google GHOP.

Should we be "selected" to participate as project (which, according to the previous experiences with Google, I doubt a little bit...), I am happy with spending some money wisely. However, this must mean the "original" OOo, not Go-OO or any other "flavor".

Did you already talk to Google about options in participating? I propose you ping Stefan Taxhet, he seems to have contacts to Google and might give more insight in what happened for GSOC... if there are no objections and we are selected, spending some money is a good idea. :-)

Florian
